Crawler cranes are cranes mounted on an undercarriage with a set of tracks, or crawlers, that provide stability and mobility. Sterett crawler cranes range in lifting capacity up to 660 tons.
Crawler cranes make short work of the toughest jobs. They are available in a broad range of lifting capacities for applications in a wide variety of fields, including heavy-duty foundation work.
The main advantage of crawler cranes is that they can move around on site and perform each lift with little set-up, since the crane is stable on its tracks with no outriggers. An additional advantage is that crawler cranes are capable of traveling with a load.
The versatility of Sterett crawler cranes starts with the wide range of models available, including:
- Lattice boom crawler cranes
- Telescopic crawler cranes
- Lattice boom truck cranes
Our crawler cranes also have many possible configurations: boom extensions, luffing jib windmill kit, vessel lift, super lift attachment, wheeled wagon, counterweight tray, and other modules can be added as needed. The modular design gives you the flexibility to adapt the crane for your project’s specific needs. Module boom sections “slide in” for transportation efficiency.
